2012-1-1  Quarry dust samples where collected from a concrete ready-mix and asphalt mix production plant, situated in the Heraklion prefecture on the Island of Crete, Greece. The company uses exclusively aggregates provided by a near-by quarry, producing over 800.000 ton of aggregates annually. Aggregates are extracted from geological formations consisting mainly of medium bedded light to dark grey limestone, thus the generated dust is referred to as limestone dust.
